Dorchester Named the Healthiest Town in Britain!

Tuesday, February 10th, 2015

Our super healthy residents here in Dorchester have ensured that the County Town has been named as the most health conscious town in the UK by a leading supermarket chain. However that’s not because we’re packed into the gym all evening.

Tesco undertook the survey which found Dorchester to residents to be buying more fruit and vegetables than any other town.

Shoppers in Dorchester buy fruit and veg more regularly than any other place in the country, according to Tesco.

Joe Chapman, from Tesco, said: ‘The map reveals Dorchester residents to be a great example to the rest of the nation for their real passion for fresh fruit and vegetables. Judging by their voracious appetite for fruit and vegetables it’s obvious that many Dorchester residents have taken health experts’ advice to heart of eating five pieces of fruit or veg a day.’

So the advice to rest of the country is if your New Year’s Resolution of ‘totally hitting the gym, like, every day’ is not going so well, then maybe you should move to Dorchester and check out all the food, drink and leisure businesses in Dorchester where you can get some of your 5 a day.
