Allum & Sidaway awarded Retailer of the Year

Local independent jewellers, Allum & Sidaway are celebrating scooping a top industry award at a dazzling ceremony at the Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham.

On Thursday 10th October leading jewellery retailers and suppliers gathered for the black tie NAJ (National Association of Jewellers) Awards in Birmingham to celebrate the successes of the sparkling industry. The awards recognise the top in their fields across 14 categories.

During the ceremony, Dorchester family jewellers Allum & Sidaway were announced as Retailer of the Year. They were selected from a UK wide shortlist of six impressive retailers to win and Directors Jack Allum & Tracey Yeatman were in attendance to be presented with the award.

Outstanding Jewellery Retailer

The jewellers were chosen to win this category after impressing judges with their awards submission, which outlined all aspects of the business both in store and online. Each of the shortlisted jewellers also had a mystery shop, whereby Allum & Sidaway scored an impressive 95% securing their place as Retailer of the Year.

The judges were looking for “the most outstanding jewellery retailer that demonstrably meets the standards of professionalism, integrity and honesty and whose bricks-and-mortar/web presence clearly communicates the brand message.” (naj.co.uk)

On being named Retailer of the Year, MD Jason Allum said- “We are so proud to have received this award. The entry process was very thorough and it allowed us to reflect on the progress we have made in our in house training, our marketing strategies, new products, new website, events, charity projects- all the things that make A&S unique, underpinned by core values of exceptional service and products.
