Street in the Park 2026

Now in its seventh year, Street in the Park is the event that kicks off Dorchester’s festival season in real style. If you love discovering fresh local talent, this is the one to add to your diary this spring. The festival is a celebration of young creative artists, featuring an exciting showcase of local DJs, music mixes and street dance performances. Street in the Park is a unique competition platform that gives young artists the opportunity to perform their work in front of a live crowd, and the energy is always electric.

One World Festival

The One World Festival brings together a rich programme of traditional and contemporary music from communities around the world, from funky reggae rhythms to the smoothest global sounds. Cider Festival

It does not get more Dorset than this. The annual Cider Festival returns to Borough Gardens for an afternoon and evening of celebrating everything that makes this county so special. Some of the region’s finest breweries will be gathering in the heart of Dorchester for a day of great cider, live performances from talented local artists, and a warm community atmosphere. With plenty of flavours to discover and great live music to enjoy, it is the perfect way to spend a summer afternoon.

The Cider Festival is proudly a charity event, with all profits distributed to local causes by the Dorchester Round Table.

Anonymous Festival 2026

Date: 31st August 2026
Time: 11am to 5pm
Where: Borough Gardens
Cost: Free

Now celebrating its 16th anniversary, the Anonymous Festival returns to Borough Gardens for a full day of live music and entertainment for the whole family. The festival has long been a platform for discovering new and emerging local talent, from young DJs and musicians to incredible singers taking to the stage to share their passion with the world.

There is plenty to keep the whole family entertained beyond the music, with bouncy castles, creative workshops and arts and crafts activities for younger visitors. With a great selection of food stands on site, there is no need to bring a picnic. Simply arrive, enjoy and let the day unfold.

DorchLive

Dates: Most Saturdays during the Summer
Time: 11am til 2.30pm

DorchLive brings a vibrant soundtrack to the town each summer, with free live music performances taking place along South Street in the heart of Dorchester. Showcasing a fantastic mix of talented local acts, it’s a brilliant way to soak up the atmosphere, support the local music scene, and enjoy an afternoon or evening of entertainment while exploring the town’s shops, cafés, and restaurants.

Throughout the summer months, Brewery Square plays host to a wonderful programme of live music, showcasing local artists in the heart of one of Dorchester’s most popular destinations for dining and shopping. Poundbury Music Events

Beyond the fantastic events happening in Dorchester itself, our neighbouring town of Poundbury also has a great programme of live music taking place throughout the summer months.
