Christmas Cracker Night 2012
Thursday, November 22nd, 2012*This event has been and gone! Stay tuned for information on the latest Christmas Cracker!*
Cracker Night is almost upon us again, and if it’s anything like previous years we can expect an absolute riot of fun, food and festivities as we celebrate the official start of Christmas in the County Town!
It will take place on Thursday 6th December, and we’re expecting to have as many as 60 stalls around the town centre, extending along South Street and onto the High Street. As usual it will be a lively mix of charities and traders, selling toys, gifts and festive treats such as mince pies and mulled wine.
There are still some spaces for stalls available, and if you’re interested in reserving a spot, you can do so on the Dorchester Chamber website.
We’re also looking forward to seeing Dorchester’s shops and businesses pull out all the stops to try and win the Best Dressed Window Competition, which this year has a traditional Christmas theme. They will also all be opening late, so you will have a chance to do a bit of Christmas shopping as well.
The highlight of the night will of course be the switching on of the lights. Doing the honours this year will be the stars of the Weymouth Pavilion pantomime, including the X Factor’s Andy Abraham, who’ll be taking the lead role in this year’s show Jack and the Beanstalk. Be there by 6.30pm if you don’t want to miss the big switch on.
You don’t give the date! When is it?
Hi Jim, it’s on Thurs 6th December from 5.30pm. We’ve added the date and start time into the blog post now!
