Christmas Shopping in Dorchester 2013Friday, December 20th, 2013
We’ve reached the last weekend before Christmas – only a couple of shopping days left now until the big day.
Fortunately if you’ve got a bit of last minute shopping for gifts and supplies left to do in Dorchester, we’ve got a couple of suggestions to help you out…
If you haven’t seen it already, our online shop finder is an interactive directory of the shops in Dorchester town centre, grouped into categories. So if you know you’re looking for somewhere to buy gifts, you can select ‘arts, crafts and gifts’ and then it’ll give you a list of shops that fit the criteria, with a phone number and address for each one, and the option to click and find out more.
Try it out – plan your trip the night before and limit time-wasting on the day itself, when you’re fighting the crowds and struggling to get everything crossed off your list.
Our ambassadors are back again – you may have seen them out already in the last couple of weeks, and they’ll be in Dorchester again on Saturday. Just look for the BID tabard, and feel free to go up and ask them any questions you might have about shops or anything else to do with Dorchester – they’ll be happy to help with directions, suggestions or advice that will help you make the most of your shopping trip.
Cafés and Restaurants
If you’ve got up early to spend your Saturday shopping, by lunchtime you’ll be in need of somewhere to put your bags down, rest your legs and get some refreshing food and drink. Fortunately, Dorchester is full of fantastic eateries for you to choose from.
Here are our listings for restaurants in the town, and here are the cafes.
