Free ‘Try This’ Festival Returns!

Wednesday, September 24th, 2014

This year’s “Try This” festival begins on Saturday, with a huge variety of diverse sessions running each day until 4th October. Among the more than 40 sessions will be workshops on using Twitter, tracing your family history, Nordic walking, poultry keeping, lantern making and crochet.

It’s great to have the opportunity to learn and experience so many different things right here in Dorchester – whatever your interests, you are sure to find something that appeals to you somewhere over the 8 day schedule. There’s a mix of daytime and evening sessions too, so even if you work during the day you will still be able to make it to many of the later sessions.

All sessions are completely free, but you do need to pre-book a place, as demand for places is likely to exceed availability on many sessions. Booking early is recommended in order to avoid disappointment – this can be done online through the website (www.dorchestertrythis.org.uk), or by calling 01305 250665.

You can pick up a programme with details of all events in the Tourist Information Centre, Dorchester library and the Dorchester Town Council Offices. Go ahead and get involved – you never know what hidden talents you might discover you have!
