Antiques Road Trip comes to Dorchester!

Friday, September 16th, 2011 Antiques Roadtrip

NOTE: Revised Date – Monday 19th September (not Sunday)

Yet more exciting news for Dorchester on Monday as the town plays host to the BBC’s Antiques Road Trip. If you haven’t seen it, it’s a spin-off of the long-running favourite the Antiques Roadshow, but rather than valuing other people’s antiques for them, two experts must compete against each other to see who can unearth the best bargains and amass the largest profit at auction.

The program will be visiting The Mews in Durngate Street, where owner Michael Delage-Pandeli will be opening his doors for the contestants to rummage around his shop for hidden treasures. They will be filming from 11am to 1pm, and the shop will then stay open a further 2 hours until 3pm for anyone else who wants to poke round for bargains.

It’s another feather in the cap for Dorchester, and proves once again that the town is an attractive, interesting destination for tv producers. We look forward to seeing what bargains the experts unearth on Monday – good luck to everyone involved!
