Dorchester Carnival Part II
Thursday, June 23rd, 2011
We hope you enjoyed our carnival photo blog from earlier in the week – we thought we’d do another brief blog post today to round up a few things we didn’t get a chance to mention before.
First of all, the total sum of money raised has been announced – a whopping £7000, all going into the pockets of local good causes. There will be a special presentation evening in held September, in which cheques from the carnival fund will be presented to selected local charities and organizations.
As for the Party in the Park event which had to be cancelled due to bad weather, it is to be re-scheduled for some time in August, so we won’t have to miss out on seeing fantastic live music and dance performances in the Borough Gardens this year. Keep an eye on our Dorchester events page for information on the dates and times for the rescheduled event.
