Late Night Shopping

As well as all the usual entertainments and amusements, Cracker Night is also an opportunity to do some late night shopping. There will be a large number of local shops, cafes and restaurants staying open into the evening for you to wander round at your leisure. Lots of them will be doing something a bit special, so look out for free giveaways and other exciting things going on all evening!

Christmas Stalls

Cracker Night wouldn’t be the same without all of the charity fundraisers and stalls, creating an authentic Christmas market feel with everything from mulled wine to mince pies and hog roasts. There will also be a Christmas Craft Fair in the Corn Exchange from 2pm-9pm – this year all of the stalls in the Corn Exchange are already sold out – so we are sure there will be lots of festive gift opportunities. In the evening the Anonymous Travelling Market is back and will be located along High West Street, with charity and local stalls located in South Street.

Dorset County Museum – Free Entry & Sci-Fi Characters

This year everyone’s favourite Science fiction characters will be back at Dorset County Museum by popular demand. After you have finished your shopping why not drop in and see characters from the Star Wars, Doctor Who and more – and bring the children to see Father Christmas in his grotto in the Museum’s Victorian Gallery. A small donation is requested, and every child will receive a bag of goodies.
