Shire Hall Halloween Activities
Dorchester’s historic courthouse at Shire Hall is a spooky venue of family-friendly halloween fun. Get involved with slippery slime-making workshops and a spidery joke trail. Take a look around the spooky underground cells at the most haunting time of the year. There is no need to book for Halloween!
The witch is brewing a magic spell,
It’s Halloween night and monsters dwell,
Her pot is boiling and many spells she will weave,
To cast them on all the children on Halloween eve.
Shire Hall will be full of scarily fun activities this half term!
Slime-making sessions run from 11-3pm
After your visit, why not pop up to the café for some seasonal autumnal recipes and Halloween treats.
Kids who are dressed up go free*.
Subterranean slime workshops £2.00 per child to cover costs of materials. Slime making will be to current government Covid guidelines
*2 kids go free with every full paying adult.

Dorset County Museum Pumpkin Stencils
Dorset County Museum have provided a set of free materials for Halloween. Get ready for spooky fun this weekend with downloadable pumpkin stencils. Just remember to ask an adult you trust for help when carving pumpkins and feel free to share any of your pumpkin creations.

Join in the Halloween Ghost Hunt at Brewery Square in Dorchester! Here’s what you need:

3. Complete your ghost hunt form! Have fun, stay safe

Pumpkin Picking at Manor Farm
Take a lovely autumnal day out at Manor Farm, near Dorchester where you pick your own pumpkin this Halloween. Take the pumpkins home and have fun with the kids carving spooky shapes!
