Love Dorch – Welcome Back To Dorchester
Tuesday, July 7th, 2020Dorchester BID has teamed up with Dorchester Town Council, and Dorchester Chamber for Business to launch ‘Love Dorch’. This is supported by Dorset Council’s county-wide campaign to Stay Local, Shop Local. A joint effort to provide a welcome back to Dorchester town centre after lockdown. Working together to make your shopping experience as safe and pleasant as possible – thank you for shopping in Dorchester.

Dorchester has such a unique mix of independent traders and high street brands. We want to do what we can to keep hold of them in the future.
The initiative looks to build on the positive community spirit that the Covid-19 pandemic has created in the town. Let’s pull together to support Dorchester businesses by purchasing local goods and services. This will help to benefit other local businesses and people in the area. Please respect the measures put in place and hopefully we can return to normal as soon as possible.
Keeping safe guidelines
- FOLLOW SOCAIL DISTANCING GUIDELINES
- KEEP LEFT, WHERE POSSIBLE
- USE DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS WHERE POSSIBLE
- WASH YOUR HANDS USING SOAP
- USE HAND SANITISERS
- WEAR A FACE MASK IF REQUIRED
- DISPOSE OF PPE APPROPRIATELY
Phil Gordon, Director of Dorchester BID, summed it up nicely:
“The harmony, creativity and positive spirit of co-operation has been exactly what I would expect in a time of crisis. I feel proud to be part of `Team Dorch’ as we move forward to whatever the new normal will be.”
These are tough times but when you spend with local retailers, the money stays in the local community, benefiting other businesses and people in the area.
There has never been a better time to shop in Dorchester – think of shopping now as a VIP experience. All of the shops that are open are doing everything required to follow the government guidelines and keep us all safe.
