Social Media Workshop For Local Businesses
Friday, September 23rd, 2011
In response to recent demand, DBID is running the level 1 social media workshop for a third time. If you missed it before, here is your chance to attend one of our most popular seminars, and we will also be running the level 2 workshop later in October.
There are some shops already in Dorchester that are finding their on-line sales are in danger of overtaking their shop sales, so it is definitely worth another look!
Workshop content
Business Development using the Web
The internet has opened a door to a whole host of new opportunities to promote your business and sell your products/services. This section looks at taking a structured approach to using the Internet for your business.
Using Social Media Tools for your Business
The workshop will cover in depth how social media tools can be used to build relationships with your customers and help you increase your online sales.
Getting to the top of Google and other Search Engines
Everyone wants number one rankings in Google. The workshop looks at the implications of getting a top spot and explains how you go about achieving it.
Marketing your Business Online
There will be an overview of the techniques and methods for marketing a business online – some of them traditional, and some a bit more new and unusual.
Q&A
The workshop will conclude with a web Q&A session – ask anything you’d like to know about the web and social media, and remember there are no such thing as silly questions!
