Could You Be Our Next Town Ambassador?

The Dorchester Ambassadors have been one of the BID’s most successful and well received initiatives to date. It began last year, when we put out a call for volunteers in the run-up to Christmas to serve as ambassadors for the town.
The idea was for them to take up positions in the main carparks and act as meeters and greeters – showing visitors where to park and offering them advice on places to shop, eat, and visit around Dorchester.
The scheme was a great success, and our team of ambassadors stationed in Charles Street and at Top o’ Town did an absolutely fabulous job of helping out visitors, giving them all those little nuggets of useful information and advice that only locals know!
We’d like to bring back the ambassadors for a fortnight from now until Saturday November 3rd, to capitalise on the extra visitor numbers we expect to get over half term. So we’re asking again for anyone who thinks they’d like to have a go at being an ambassador to get in touch with us as soon as possible.
The requirements are simple: A good knowledge of Dorchester and a helpful, friendly attitude. It is a paid role, and you can be flexible with your hours depending on how much time you are able to commit.
