Friday, June 2nd, 2023Dorchester Business Awards took place on the 30th March 2023, celebrating the successes of local companies and encouraging young entrepreneurs to make their mark on the town’s independent business scene.

Cameron Small, 23-year-old co-owner of Honey Asset Finance was the big winner of the ceremony – bagging the ‘Young Entrepreneur’, ‘B2B Business’ and ‘Overall Business of the Year’ awards!

Situated on Trinity Street and South Street respectively, the hardware shop and Italian restaurant in the town centre were named joint winners of the Independent Business of the Year Award.

The already award-winning social justice museum gained another accolade at the Dorchester Business Awards for their use of digital innovation!

After operating in the town for many years, the small business relocated to The Post Office on Trinity Street in 2020. Managing to stay family owned through vast expansion, they are well deserving of the ‘Family Business of the Year’ Award!

The Skin and Laser Clinic in Brewery Square have quickly made a name for themselves. Their passion for offering ‘a unique and special experience’ has seem them gain accolades already, including the a 5-star Client Experience Award in 2022 by Phorest. They continue to gain accolades this year!
