School’s out for the Halloween holidays! It’s time to put on your scariest costumes and get into the spooky spirit with the Dorchester community. While you’re preparing for the festivities, our town is getting ready for a frightfully fun season of Halloween events all across Dorchester.

There’s plenty of things to do in Dorchester this half term to keep you entertained. Whether you’re after spine-chilling scares or family-friendly fun, there’s something for everyone to enjoy throughout the half-term break.

Frights and Fun at Brewery Square

Brewery Square Halloween Activities

Spooky fun is brewing at Brewery Square this Halloween, with a week full of activities for the whole family. Enjoy face painting, a trick-or-treat trail, Halloween crafts and more throughout the week.

Grab your map from the Concierge Office, follow the clues around the Square and collect sweet treats along the way.

On Friday 31st October, there’s Spooky Face Painting – become a witch, ghost, monster, or your favourite Halloween character.
Halloween Crafts – make something creepy and creative to take home.

Autumn Quiz

Crafty Cuppa Autumn Quiz Night

It isn’t a holiday without a fun activity planned by the Crafty Cuppa. This half-term, they’re inviting everyone to join their creative Autumn Quiz. A relaxed, friendly event filled with light-hearted competition and warm community fun.

Spooky Halloween Crafts, Colouring, & Treats!

Halloween at Pips

Join the PIPs Poundbury on Wednesday, 29th October, for a morning filled with crafts, creativity, spooky fun and delightfully gory treats. This special charity fundraising event supports The Talk About Trust, a youth charity working across the UK to help young people make safer choices around substances, with proceeds going directly to their cause.

Halloween costumes are highly encouraged, so come dressed in your most frightfully fabulous outfits and get involved with a morning of spooky community spirit.

GrandSlam Wrestling – Halloween Special!

GSW Wrestling Dorchester

This October, Dorchester is set for a night of bone-crunching action and Halloween thrills as GrandSlam Wrestling returns to the Corn Exchange. For one night only, former WWE and current TNA Superstar Santino Marella brings his trademark charisma and comedy to the ring, headlining a card that includes the spine-tingling showdown of Krampus vs JJ Gale. Tickets and limited VIP meet-and-greet packages are on sale here.

Halloween Ghost Walk

Curious about the haunted tales of Dorchester’s past? Join The King’s Arms for a ghost walk filled with spine-chilling stories and eerie legends. Meet at The King’s Arms on High East Street at 8pm for an evening of unexpected frights and historic hauntings in Dorset’s County Town.

Spooky Ghost Spotting Trail

This Halloween half-term, visit the Dorset Museum & Art Gallery for a spooky family challenge: see who can spot the hidden ghosts first! They could be peeking from behind a display, sneaking around a corner, or even hovering high above your head. Keep your eyes peeled, you never know where they might appear!

Folk Arts and Crafts

This spooky season, let your creativity run wild with our folk-themed arts and crafts sessions at the Dorset Museum & Art Gallery. At the Museum, you can decorate your very own hobby horse, black cat or creepy-crawly spider. With all materials provided, you’ll get to take your creation home to add a handmade touch to your Halloween decorations.

Haunted History Hunt

Finding ghosts and arts & crafts aren’t the only Halloween fun at the Dorset Museum & Art Gallery. Join the Haunted History Hunt and explore the galleries to uncover eerie tales hidden within the artefacts, discover the mysterious and macabre side of Dorset’s past, and experience the museum’s history like never before.
